Muthonomics #13 – Special Episode – Understanding the Perils of Poverty

Having grown up in poverty, I’ve had 20 years to think deeply about its impact on me and have decided to summarize my experiences into five main points.

1) Isolation
2) Despair
3) Grumbling
4) Apathy
5) Fatalism

Understanding and accepting these perils have been fundamental in rewiring my brain and have helped me process my experiences in ways that have allowed me to move forward in deliberate and diligent ways.

Lord willing, I will post a follow up video outlining the five remedies to these perils. My hope is that these observations encourage anyone struggling with economic poverty to keep going and not give up.
